I spent More than a decade as a creative director.
Luxury and beauty first, then a social impact agency, then my own studio. Different clients, same job: figure out what a brand is trying to say, then decide exactly what its images should look like.
Eventually I picked up the camera and stopped handing that part off.
Now I photograph events, brands, and the people in them. Launches. Dinners. Conferences. Parties. Openings. Live music. Restaurants. Brand events. Portraits... Golden hour or candlelight, whatever light is actually in the room. I care less about who was there than what it felt like to be there. The grain, the blur, the shadow aren't accidents. They're how a moment keeps a few of its secrets.
The creative director never left.
Before a shoot, I read the brand or venue: its colors, its mood, the things it would never post. I'm not there to take my photos. I'm there to extend your brand. Clients come for my look. They stay because the photos still look like them.
Launches. The first bite. Dinners. CONFERENCES. Parties. Someone laughing. The chef plating. Openings. Live music. Restaurants. Brand events. Portraits. The right moment.
"Made people feel comfortable, made me feel comfortable. That's what you need! …He over delivered on assets, and got me selects the first thing the following morning."
